Whether you're a Republican or a Democrat, energy conservation and lowering your own power bill is of the utmost importance. In fact, with Florida power company's set to increase their rates in January 2011, many homeowners are going to find their average $200 power bill moving up to $240 to $250.
That's right, just like Progress Energy and OUC got their egregious increase in power rates last year, next year looks to be even worse, and at a time when every hard earned dollar is needed just to pay the mortgage.
Even the middle to upper class homeowners are floored by the $400 to $600 average power bills they're receiving in 2010. "I can't believe I'm paying $500 a month just to rent my power," says Elda Mitchell of St. Cloud, Florida. "... and I have nothing to show for it." Full Story
